"My work for the past 5 years has been around the feeling of longing and solitude. I specialize in charcoal with metal leaf work and oil painting. I like the way light gets caught in the contrast of the black and white and the metal leaf, which compliments the feeling I want to show in my drawings. The past few months have been very challenging to imagine a world outside my four walls that will inspire my work. Through this isolation, I found liberation through these sets of paintings and drawings.From this seclusion, I want to capture that feeling of being free through mud and burnt wood. "
